Frequently
Asked Questions

  • Full Service Interior Design is a comprehensive, hands-on approach where the designer managers every aspect of a project from concept to completion. This includes in-person consultations, space planning, material and furniture selection from exclusive resources, procurement, project management, and white-glove installation. The designer works closely with contractors, architects and tradespeople to ensure a seamless execution, often including custom elements and detailed styling. It is ideal for clients looking for a high-end, turnkey experience.

Virtual Interior Design is a remote, collaborative process where the designer provides a floor plan, based on your as-built measurements or plan, retail specification, but does not manage the implementation.  Clients receive a concept board, floor plan, and selections through a shopping list which is offered at retail vendors for the client to buy on their own. The design service is more budget-conscience, making it ideal for clients who want professional guidance remotely and where architectural space planning isn’t a major goal of the project.

  • Feel free to read through my list of services first to gain an understanding of how I may be able to assist you.

It is ideal to fill out an inquiry form and schedule a discovery call with Claire’s Perspective to gain more clarity on your project’s needs and scope. I can help walk you through the services with more clarity and answer any questions you may have.

  • Claire’s Perspective works on a flat fee basis for full service projects. There are several factors that go into assessing the investment amount which would be provided to you at the Investment Estimate & Design Agreement meeting.

The Design Appetizer Services are included here.

  • All projects are different so there isn’t a one size fits all, but in general, a full service design project time line may look like this:

Onboarding the client: 1-2 weeks. From the moment we meet to the moment we sign the agreement and begin your design. This time involves getting to know you, the initial consultation, preparation of the proposal and design fee, signing agreement.

Conceptual Design: 2 Months. Depending on the size and scope of the project, this phase could also be longer, especially with renovations.

Detailed Design: 2 months. Depending on the size and scope of the project, this phase could be longer, especially with renovations

Material Procurement & Ordering:  Orders are placed according to product lead times and construction timeline. The length of time to receive materials and products to the warehouse ranges between 6-16 weeks. The industry is experiencing much longer than usual lead times.

For kitchen and bath remodels, this phase generally takes about 2-3 months after orders are placed, depending on the complexity but longer for larger remodels.

    Construction & Project Management: TBD

Installation: Construction is completed, and all furnishings & accessories have arrived at the warehouse, the installation of furniture and accessories are ready to be installed into your space. This may include items like sofas, area rugs, window treatments, and artwork. Installation can take 1-2 days for a single room and several small spaces, and 3-5 days for a full house or multiple larger rooms.

Styling: Can take 1-2 days per room depending on your scope and scale. Sometimes Installation and Styling overlap.

Professional Photography: 1-3 days to prepare and photograph the space.

Project Close Out: 30 minutes-1 hour

  • I do not limit my design work to one style but focus on the feeling the clients wish to create while in the space. The conceptual phase is essential in getting to know you and what you truly desire to accomplish. I’m drawn to creating spaces that are timeless and will last the lifetime of your duration in those spaces.
