City to Stone
JOURNAL 4 –Where the Wild Things Are
Taking on a home renovation project is a wild adventure of its own. Much like Max’s untamed imagination, your desire to reimagine your home—say, that dream kitchen with brass fixtures or the spa-like bathroom with radiant floors—starts as a spark of inspiration that quickly grows into an uncontrollable force. This desire, much like Max’s wild behavior, turns your cozy, familiar room (or home) into something unrecognizable.
JOURNAL 3 – Wanderlust & Design
It’s no surprise that artists, writers, and creatives travel the globe in search of inspiration. The colors of a foreign market, the texture of ancient stone, the rhythm of a new city—these experiences stir something deep within us. For me, design is no different. Claire’s Perspective has been shaped as much by passport stamps as by paint swatches.
JOURNAL 2 - WHY “CITY TO STONE”?
Welcome to City to Stone—a name that carries more than just a nod to geography. It’s the heart of my journey, both personally and creatively, and it reflects the evolution of my design philosophy as I transitioned from the vibrant pulse of Boston to the grounded beauty of southern New Hampshire.
JOURNAL 1 – CHILDHOOD VISIONS
A deeper dive into her design background at a young age…
As a Western NY native, performing arts and theater, more specifically dance, played an integral role in my early and young adult life, touring the country at national dance competitions and performances.
While the physical arts were center to my world, I can remember two specific memories from my childhood that influenced my desire to reimagine the spaces around us.
